Chances are if you’re here reading this page, then this gentleman needs no introduction.

Andy Aledort is the “Genuine Article”.  He is a Senior Editor for Guitar World, and a (world-wide touring) professional musician having many years of experience serving as a professional instructor.  He has over 200 Instructional books, CD’s, and DVD’s credited to his name, and the list keeps growing.  He is directly responsible for a massive amount of learning material that can be found here.

Andy is responsible for the note for note, recreation of Jimi Hendrix’s “Are you Experienced?” which is available via Instructional DVD Sets, and the and “Axis: Bold as Love” tablature series.  He’s one of the only people in the world who has the Hendrix Estate’s Permission, and Stamp of Approval for doing so.

Because of Andy’s technical prowess, and fluidity in recreating some of the most challenging material to “cover”, he has been invited to play at the “Experience Hendrix” Tour on several occasions — Sharing the stage with people that most of us only dream of meeting.

People like: Mitch Mitchell, and Billy Cox who are original members that played, recorded, and toured with Jimi Hendrix.  Paul Rodgers of the bands “Free”, “Bad Company”, and “Queen”.  Buddy Guy, Hubert Sumlin, and of course the irreplaceable rhythm section of SRV: “Double Trouble”.  Very few people can truly say that they understand, feel, and can accurately portray so many different styles of music.  Andy is one of such types of people.

In his free time, Andy plays/tours with his band The Groove Kings, check them out.  Don’t forgot to stop by Hal Leonard to see the massive footprint Andy has left by way of guitar instructional materials.
