Greg is an international phenomenon, hailing from Wisconsin USA. He’s one of the most requested guitar teachers in the world; constantly being bombarded with never-ending requests to conduct more clinics, to go on more tours, and to create more instructional materials for his world-wide student-body/audience. I dare you to find anyone that says different.
Greg serves as the Fender Guitar Company’s Top Ambassador – touring the globe showcasing their newest concoctions. His professional clinics are known to be rife with witty humor, and are injected with saucy demonstrations of the most excellent arrangement: ranging from blues, to country, to rock, to hair metal, to classically influenced performances — all in the same show.
He’s a multi-award winning author of instructional materials, and a master clinician. Very few people can share the stage with this guitar giant and walk away not feeling completely schooled (pummeled) in whatever style of music they played for the song/event. I have never witnessed such power, precision, and absolute execution of exacting command of the instrument, and a thorough understanding of guitar tone as I have with Greg. He will spank you, call you Sally … and you’ll like it!
On a side note: Greg’s humor, wit, and humility are a rarity in this business and I truly happy to call him a friend, and customer of McCon-O-Wah. Greg tours (internationally) with his band in his free time selling out every venue they encounter. Although being signed to Steve Vai’s label – “Favored Nations” and being a gifted “shredder” one of Greg’s highlighting gifts is the ability to share the stage with every type of artist, in any arrangement of genres and take the stage, and audience alike — all with a smile, and gentle humble nature. Very few world-wide professionally touring musicians can say/do the same.
